What this website stores about you. It is little, and all of it is listed here.
This website uses no ad networks and no cookies for analytics. To see which pages are visited, we use a visitor statistic from Cloudflare that works without cookies (see "Visitor statistics"). Fonts, images and videos come from our own server, not from Google or any other provider.
The people named in the imprint are responsible. For questions, access requests and deletions, reach us at hoi@clarity-finance.ch.
When you open a page, our hosting provider processes what your browser sends automatically: IP address, time, the address requested, browser type and operating system. Without it the page cannot be delivered and no attack detected. We do not combine it with other data and build no profile from it.
The website runs on the server network of Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare processes the technical data on our behalf, including outside Switzerland. We have contractually bound Cloudflare to confidentiality and to compliance with data protection law.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. When you open a page, your browser loads a small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com and tells Cloudflare which page was opened, which page you came from, plus browser, device type, country and load time. Cloudflare sets no cookies for this, stores nothing in your browser and does not follow you across other websites. We only see aggregated numbers, such as views per day or the most visited pages, never individual visits. If you block the script, the website works just the same.
If you pick a language by hand, your browser stores a cookie named clarity_locale with the value de or en, valid for one year. Its only purpose is to serve you the site in that language. If you pick nothing, the language follows your browser setting and nothing is stored.
This website has no form. Signing up for the beta happens at letsbuildanapp.ch/beta. What that form asks for and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy of letsbuildanapp.ch.
When you connect a bank in the app, your bank sends you to an address on this website at the end (for example /bank/enable-banking/callback). The page passes you straight on to the app and only shows a short notice while doing so. The address contains a single-use code. We do not store it, display it or evaluate it. Like any page view, it appears in the server logs.
LinkedIn and Instagram are only linked here, not embedded. As long as you do not click, neither platform learns about your visit. If you click, the privacy terms of that provider apply.
If you email us, we store the message and sender in order to reply. Once the matter is closed, we delete it. None of it is passed on.
For now, Clarity can only be used with an invite code. The app checks the code with our service invite.clarity-finance.ch, which also runs on Cloudflare. We store the code, a randomly generated device ID and the time the code was redeemed. The ID says nothing about you or your device, it only makes sure that a code works on exactly one device. If you have no code, you can leave your email address for the waitlist in the app. We only use it to write to you once, as soon as Clarity is open to everyone, and delete the list afterwards. Until then we delete your address whenever you ask. The data is stored in a data centre in Western Europe.
This policy covers the website only. The Clarity app has its own privacy policy, because different data comes up there. You find it in the app under Mehr → Rechtliches and at clarity-finance.ch/privacy/app (in German).
You can ask at any time which data we process about you, and request its correction or deletion. A short email is enough. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Processing is governed by the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG). If you visit from the EEA, the GDPR applies in addition. Processing of server logs then rests on our legitimate interest in operating the website securely under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
